Carla Bruni and Nicolas Sarkozy Just Married

Carla Bruni is the new first lady of France. This should come as no surprise to readers of The Hollywood Gossip.

As we reported would happen a couple weeks ago, the couple - who has only been dating a little over two months - wed in a civil ceremony Saturday morning in Paris.




The French President, who divorced in October 2006, and the Italian-born Bruni were married at 11 a.m. in the Presidential Office of the Elysee Palace. It was a private civil ceremony before 30 family and friends.

Bruni signed her wedding certificate “Mrs. Carla Bruni Sarkozy.” We’ve heard that she’s pregnant, as well as in love. So don’t be shocked when the next headline involving this pair is:
